Amazon Fire tablets run a modified version of Android. GuardianShield works on Fire tablets that have Google Play Services installed (achievable by following Amazon's sideloading guide). Basic functionality works on standard Fire OS but some features may be limited.
Yes. All GuardianShield controls β screen time limits, app blocking, content filter level, geofence zones, and alerts β can be configured and changed remotely from your parent app at any time.
No. On Android, Device Administrator protection prevents uninstallation without your Parent PIN. On iOS, the Supervision Profile is locked. Any removal attempt sends an immediate alert to your parent app.
No. GuardianShield detects and blocks VPN usage on the child's device by default (this is configurable). The content filter operates at a level that cannot be circumvented by a user-installed VPN.
A factory reset removes GuardianShield and the iOS profile. However, you will receive an immediate "device offline" alert. On Android, you can enable "Factory reset protection" in your GuardianShield settings to prevent a reset without your Google account credentials.
No. GuardianShield filters all traffic at the device network level regardless of browser mode. Private browsing in Chrome, Firefox, or Safari does not bypass the content filter.
Never. GuardianShield's social monitoring uses on-device AI to detect behavioral patterns β it does not read, store, or transmit the content of private messages. Only alert events (e.g., "Cyberbullying signal detected β TikTok β 3:45 PM") are sent to your dashboard.
Yes. GuardianShield is COPPA certified and GDPR compliant. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the service, never sell data to third parties, and provide full data access and deletion rights. We undergo annual third-party privacy audits.
User data is stored on servers in the European Union (Germany) and United States (Virginia), compliant with applicable data protection laws. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
Yes. You can request complete data deletion from your account settings under Privacy β Delete My Data. Deletion is completed within 30 days as required by GDPR.
