Before you start: Have both your phone (parent) and your child's Android device nearby. You'll need both during setup. Download the parent app on your device first.
Search for "GuardianShield Parent" on Google Play and install it on your own phone. Open the app and create a free account with your email address. Verify your email to activate your account.
On your child's Android device, open Google Play and search for "GuardianShield Child". Install and open it. Do not create a new account — you will pair it to your existing parent account.
In your parent app, tap "Add Child" and enter your child's name and date of birth. A 6-digit Family Code will appear (valid for 15 minutes). On your child's device, enter this code and tap Connect.
The child app will guide you through granting permissions. All of the following are required for full protection:

Back in your parent app, you'll see your child's device connected. Set your first screen time limit, choose a content filter level (Strict, High, Moderate, or Light), and optionally draw your first geofence zone around home or school. Your child is now protected.
Xiaomi / MIUI devices: Additional steps are required. Go to Settings → Battery → select GuardianShield → choose "No restrictions". Also enable AutoStart. See our Xiaomi guide for full details.

No. Once Device Administrator permission is granted, the app cannot be uninstalled without your Parent PIN. Any removal attempt triggers an alert to your parent app immediately.
